Teacher Aide (SpEd, Specific Assignment TBD)
The Glens Falls City School District has an anticipated vacancy and is now accepting applications for a Special Education Teacher Aide at Kensington Elementary School. This is a full-time (10-month) position.
Special education teacher aides are responsible for providing assistance to teachers in a non-teaching capacity to assist students with social/emotional and learning difficulties in all school settings. Under the direction of the teacher, the aide will perform routine classroom duties including but not limited to: monitoring students, assisting with activities, supervising students, maintaining the classroom and other areas, assisting in developing good health standards and appropriate social habits, accommodations such as behavior plans and testing accommodations and filling in for other staff as needed.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a calm and respectful manner.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate others.
- Candidate must enjoy working with children.
