The Glens Falls City School District is seeking interested applicants for a probationary tenure track elementary teaching position at Jackson Heights Elementary School. This is a full-time (10-month) position. Salary is per contract (Glens Falls Teachers Association).
The Early Childhood/Elementary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that promotes each child’s growth and development. The teacher places a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and foundational skills aligned with New York State and district learning standards. This role involves ongoing collaboration with families, support staff, and fellow educators to ensure that the individual needs of every child are supported effectively.
Valid NYS Teaching Certification in Early Childhood (Birth - 2) or Childhood Education (Grades 1–6).
