The School Social Worker plays a vital role in supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic needs while fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school culture. This position requires strong knowledge of social work practices, child development, and collaboration with educators, families, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess student needs, provide interventions, and offer crisis response services.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and community agencies to coordinate care and connect families with resources.
Deliver related services per IEPs, including FBAs, BIPs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing.
Contribute to school climate initiatives, transitions, and outreach programs (e.g., backpack/snack bags, holiday support).
Serve as a vital member of the crisis response team and promote equity and inclusion for all students.
