Job Description

Glens Falls City School District has an opening for a Security Monitor at Glens Falls High School. This is a full-time, 10-month position.

District Criteria:

Performance Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to deal courteously, yet firmly and tactfully, with the public
Ability to think quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Good power of observation
Sound judgement and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position

Job Qualifications

Candidate must meet the following minimum criteria: Graduation from High School.

Preferred Qualities of Security Monitor:

Working knowledge of the problems of young adults;
Ability to perform the actions necessary to maintain order and insure the protection of persons and security of the school building;
Ability to exercise sound judgment in carrying out supervision and security duties;
Ability to relate to, get along with and command the respect of young adults.
