Job Description

Glens Falls City School District is currently looking to hire Security Monitors on a per diem basis at Glens Falls High School. 

District Criteria: 

• Monitor admittance of persons to the premises 
• Reports unusual conditions or disturbances 
• Monitors surveillance equipment 
• Screens visitors 
• Patrols lobbies and hallways 

Performance Knowledge and Skills: 

• Ability to deal courteously, yet firmly and tactfully, with the public 
• Ability to think quickly and effectively in emergency situations 
• Good power of observation 
• Sound judgement and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position 

Job Qualifications

Candidate must meet the following minimum criteria: Graduation from High School. 

Preferred Qualities of Security Monitor:

• Working knowledge of the problems of young adults;
• Ability to perform the actions necessary to maintain order and insure the protection of persons and security of the school building;
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in carrying out supervision and security duties;
• Ability to relate to, get along with and command the respect of young adults.
