Lunch Monitor 3.5 hours

Job Description:

The Lunch and Recess Monitor is responsible for providing a safe, orderly, and positive environment for
students during lunch periods, recess, and related transitions. The monitor supervises student behavior,
promotes respectful interactions, enforces school expectations, and communicates concerns to school
administration when appropriate.

Essential Responsibilities


Supervise students during lunch and outdoor recess.
Monitor student behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations.
Ensure student safety at all times.
Assist with student arrival to and dismissal from the cafeteria and playground.
Encourage positive social interactions and appropriate conflict resolution.
Report injuries, accidents, or behavioral concerns promptly to the school nurse or administration.
Assist with emergency procedures as directed.
Maintain active supervision by circulating throughout assigned areas.
Communicate respectfully with students, staff, and families.
Perform other duties related to student supervision as assigned by the principal.

$17.50 /hour (Per GFSSA Contract)
