The Glens Falls City School District is seeking certified teachers to provide individualized tutoring support for students in grades K–12 on a per diem basis.

Position Details:

• Format: Opportunities available for both in-person and virtual tutoring.

• Schedule: Flexible hours, typically 3–4 hours per day.

• Student Needs: Tutoring is provided for a variety of academic and personal circumstances.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 academic instruction and support tailored to each student’s needs with instructional materials provided by current GF teachers.

• Maintain clear communication with district staff regarding student progress.

• Utilize engaging, developmentally appropriate strategies to promote student learning and confidence.

• Document attendance and instructional sessions as required by the district.

Teaching Assistants (Per Glens Falls Support Staff Association) (Teaching Assistant Level 1)

Glens Falls City School District has anticipated openings in the Teaching Assistant area. Responsibilities include working with individual students or groups of students on instructional activities and tasks, and related work as required. This is a 6.5-hour-per-day, 10-month position during the school year.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibility of the Teaching Assistant to provide a structured learning experience and atmosphere in the classrooms assigned. Teaching Assistants will be expected to cover in the teacher’s absence and provide structured learning experience. Specific duties include: assisting with activities, supervising the children, maintaining the classroom and other areas, assisting in developing good health standards and appropriate social habits, and filling in for other staff as needed. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and New York State Teacher Assistant Certification, required
