School Secretary

We are seeking organized, professional, and welcoming individuals to serve as the "heart of the school" in multiple buildings. As a 12-month School Secretary, you will provide essential administrative support to students, staff, and families, ensuring the daily operations of the main office run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Details

  • Schedule: 12-Month position | 7.5 Hours per day.

  • Location: Immediate Opening at Kensington Road Elementary School (April 2026), Anticipated Opening at Glens Falls High School (June 2026)

  • Reports To: Building Principal


Primary Responsibilities

  • Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for the school. Greet visitors, answer multi-line phones, and manage school-wide communications via ParentSquare and email.

  • Student Records & Data: Maintain accurate student records using our student management system (eSchool).

  • Administrative Support: Coordinate mail, manage the Principal’s calendar, and assist in the preparation of school reports, newsletters, and graduation/award materials.

  • Operations: Manage office supplies inventory, coordinate building facility requests, and assist with the onboarding of substitute teachers.

  • Student Support: Assist as needed to guide students, manage late arrivals/early dismissals, and data entry.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in a school office or high-volume administrative role.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and student management software.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strict commitment to maintaining student confidentiality (FERPA).

  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask in a busy environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Teacher Aide - Continuous Recruitment RP

The Glens Falls City School District has multiple anticipated openings for Teacher Aide positions. These are Full-Time (10 Month) positions. 

Your typical day as a Teacher Aide may include: assisting with activities, supervising students, maintaining the classroom and other areas, assisting in developing good health standards and appropriate social habits, and filling in for other staff as needed.

  • Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a calm and respectful manner.
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate others.
  • Candidate must enjoy working with children.
