Lifeguard (per diem)

Per Diem Lifeguard – GFMS Swimming Unit
The Glens Falls Middle School is seeking a per diem Lifeguard to provide supervision and ensure student safety during the swimming unit of Physical Education classes. The position runs from November 3, 2025 through February 18, 2026, with hours from 8:15 AM – 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the pool area during instructional swim periods.

  • Enforcing safety rules and responding quickly to emergencies.

  • Assisting PE staff in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

$145/day
Lead Custodian (HS)

Daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms and gymnasium.

Coordinate event setups for school and public events. 

Oversees the work of second shift custodial staff in the Glens Falls Middle School and High School.  Main point of contact for after-hours events.

Confirm buildings are secured daily.

Performs cleaning at the Administration Building and Sanford Street Elementary as well.

School Security Monitor (per diem)

Glens Falls City School District is currently looking to hire Security Monitors on a per diem basis at Glens Falls High School.

  • Monitor admittance of persons to the premises 
  • Reports unusual conditions or disturbances 
  • Monitors surveillance equipment 
  • Screens visitors 
  • Patrols lobbies and hallways 

Performance Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Ability to deal courteously, yet firmly and tactfully, with the public 
  • Ability to think quickly and effectively in emergency situations 
  • Good power of observation 
  • Sound judgement and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position 
School Security Monitor (repost)

Glens Falls City School District has an opening for a Security Monitor at Glens Falls High School. This is a full-time, 10-month position.
